Bearing lubrication for aircraft engines

During the R&D stages, aircraft engines are subjected to extensive stationary tests. This requires the engines' bearings to be supplied with oil. An oil conditioning unit is used to exactly measure and control the temperature, pressure and flow rate of the oil. The barrier air chambers are controlled to reliably prevent oil from leaking from the engines' bearing chambers. The oil is sucked from the bearing chambers by low pressure and fed back to the oil conditioning unit.
